Apple tart



This easy dessert is perfect for the fall. The apples and cinnamon are a superior combo that everyone loves!



For the pie crust :

Ingredients :

  • 175 g of flour

  • 90 g of unsalted butter

  • 1 egg yolk (about 20 g)

  • 20 ml of milk

  • 20 g of sugar

  • 3 g of salt


Instructions :

  1. Place the flour and butter in a bowl and incorporate the two by using the top of your fingers to blend them together by massaging the flour into the butter

  2. Mix the egg yolk and milk and pour into the flour mixture and roughly incorporate

  3. Then pour in the sugar and salt and place the dough on a surface and start the knead for about 5 min (before the dough gets too elastic)

  4. Place the dough in a ball form, covered in saran wrap and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 min


For the tart :

Ingredients :

  • 3 to 4 apples (I like to use gala apples)

  • 50 g of brown sugar

  • A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)


Instructions :

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.

  2. Roll out the pie crust and placing it into a tart pan.

  3. Cut up thinly the apples (previously washed), and place them on the crust.

  4. Sprinkle the apples with the brown sugar and the cinnamon

  5. Place into the oven and bake for around an hour (can take less depending on your oven)

  6. Enjoy it under a warm blanket in front of a Friends episode (haha)
