This recipe for my delicious pie crust is a basic, and can be used for any type of dessert, which calls for it!
Wether it may be a chocolate tart, my lemon meringue pie, an apple tart (or any fruit tart for that matter), it would do the trick!
Ingredients :
175 g of flour
90 g of unsalted butter
1 egg yolk (about 20 g)
20 ml of milk
20 g of sugar
3 g of salt
Instructions :
Place the flour and butter in a bowl and incorporate the two by using the top of your fingers to blend them together by massaging the flour into the butter
Mix the egg yolk and milk and pour into the flour mixture and roughly incorporate
Then pour in the sugar and salt and place the dough on a surface and start the knead for about 5 min (before the dough gets too elastic)
Place the dough in a ball form, covered in saran wrap and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 min
Bake it until golden in a 200 degrees celsius oven for any tart or pie! (about 25 min)
